Our Future Plans

Future Plans for Expanding Our Animal Shelter in California for the Animal Rescue Center

As long as there are animals in need, Hooves & Paws will continue to be there with our animal shelters in California to rescue animals and provide them with a safe haven at our animal sanctuary.  Many people do not realize how many animals are starved, neglected and abused every day. We rehabilitate the animals in our pet shelters for placement in safe loving homes. If we are not able to find a home for the animal, it will stay with us in a peaceful and secure environment for the rest of its life.

Right now there are so many animals in need that it makes it difficult to provide for them all, but with our loyal supporters and donations we manage somehow. But we would like to rescue and provide for a greater number of animals and can only do this with the help of our supporters and people like you that care about the mistreatment, neglect and abuse of innocent animals. There has never been a greater need to help animals especially now with our economical downturn and people struggling. Many times the first ones to experience the brunt of this climate are the most innocent, the animals. Abandonment and neglect are something we see on an all too regular basis right now.

Our goals in the future are to rescue a greater number of animals by expanding our animal shelters in California.  We would like to acquire a larger property near our current location for our sanctuary site.  A larger sanctuary will enable us to open our doors to an even greater number of horses and farm animals so that no one is ever turned away.

We also would like to acquire a kennel facility; the one we are currently using is an inadequate structure and only has room for a few dogs.  The kennel property will serve as our dog rescue site as well as a dog adoption center.  Right now we turn away people on a daily basis at our animal shelters in California who are looking for a safe place for pets they can no longer keep or abandoned animals. Unfortunately these animals will end up in a shelter to be euthanized.  A new kennel property will enable us to increase the number of dogs we are able to rescue and will ultimately enable us to increase adoptions of dogs into new homes.

In addition, with the help of our dedicated supporters, as well as the Humane Society, we will establish a Spay and Neuter Fund to assist low-income pet owners with the cost of sterilization surgeries.  This fund will help to directly reduce the numbers of unwanted animals and will ultimately reduce the number of animals needing rescue.
