Volunteering At Our Animal Shelter

Make a Difference

You can help by giving love and attention to our rescued animals by becoming a shelter volunteer. Volunteers are the heart of our shelter and a key reason why we are able to care for the animals, especially at our dog shelter. Our volunteers donate whatever time they are able to, working on a daily basis to provide our rescued animals with lots of love and a healthy happy life.  Since we have no paid staff, volunteers are absolutely crucial for the success of our sanctuary.

The most important job our animal shelter volunteers are responsible for is to help enrich the lives of our sanctuary animals. We always need help cleaning pens as well as grooming and exercising animals.  When you come to our sanctuary, you can help by brushing a cow, petting a pig or walking a dog.  Such simple things make a world of difference for our animals.

Volunteer Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to become an animal shelter volunteer. We do allow juniors to help out, but only in the presence and guidance of their volunteer parents. All volunteer applicants are required to attend an orientation which covers our policies and philosophy. You will also be required to complete a training session on the care and requirements of the rescue animals.

Volunteering at our sanctuary is a great way to interact with many types of animals most people rarely have a chance to meet.   We hope you will contact us and join our team of compassionate volunteers at our animal rescue shelters.

Thank you for your interest in donating your time to help us care for our rescued animals.

I Have Done Something

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter…the cast-offs of human society.

I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry.

“God,” I said, “this is terrible! Why don’t you do something?”

God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, “I have done something,” he replied. “I created you.”
