Compassionate Living Festival

WorldFest is a solar-powered celebration of music, the environment, animals and humanity.  It’s a day filled with entertainment, education and enlightenment.   This year, it is held on May 22 at Lake Balboa.

Lancaster Bark at the Park

Enjoy a great day of fun, food and socializing at Lancaster’s biggest dog event of the year, Bark at the Park. It is always held the first Saturday in October at Lancaster City Park. More information can be found on their website.

Lancaster has a one acre fenced in area reserved just for dogs. The dog park includes benches, picnic tables, and a special drinking fountain designed specifically for dogs.

Due to budget constraints plans for Palmdale’s dog parks have been put on hold for now. More information on an estimated time frame can be found by contacting the Palmdale Parks & Recreation Dept. at: 661-267-5611

Every year in March the City of Quartz year holds the pet parade during their annual Almond Blossom Festival.  This is great fun for all. Dress your pet in their favorite outfit and march down Main Street! More information and an entry form can be found by visiting the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce website.

PetSmart offers in store training thru positive reinforcement for your pet. They will teach you how to achieve consistent behaviors, and if you are not fully satisfied with the results you can take the class again for free! They also offer grooming services.
